Whole person care that addresses root and branch
Allison Tao is a licensed acupuncturist and scholar-practitioner of Classical Chinese Medicine. She provides patients with individualized healthcare through a whole-body diagnosis of pattern recognition, which treats symptoms not as isolated dysfunction, but part of an interconnected whole.
Allie’s approach manifests the yin-yang balance of gentleness and deliberate intention. Her insights are grounded in the classical Chinese medicine texts, which have been adapted to diverse contexts over thousands of years. This ancient wisdom is brought forth to meet your specific needs, treating both root and branch, that is, both your unique constitution and your presenting symptoms.
As a Chinese medicine herbalist and licensed acupuncturist, Allie works with a broad spectrum of patients experiencing sleep disorders, dermatological conditions, anxiety, depression, menstrual and perimenstrual issues, digestive dysfunction, and musculoskeletal discomfort.
Allie holds a Master of Science in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine specialization from National University of Natural Medicine, as well as a Diploma in Oriental Medicine, the highest level of certification from the National Certification Board in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM). She also has a Master of Arts in Spirituality from Oblate School of Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Chemistry from Pomona College.
